Mourningfall

Mourningfall, formerly Morning Rise, holds a Festival of Remembrance for a fire in the mine thirty years ago that burned half the village. The mine was sealed because not all the bodies could be recovered. A ruined church sits on a hill outside town, and the townsfolk are forbidden to enter it. The market opens at sunrise, and a merchant named Calder Finn delivers drink from the south every couple of weeks. Nobody pays for anything.

The party has been told that the town does not trust those who trust in gods, that being "taken" means being possessed, and that the town has been killing the taken for months.
