Owlin J. Hooting
Elf rogue
An elf rogue (a thief) with a sage's background and a little magic, who describes himself as a would-be scholar with light fingers and is still new to the road. He carries a shortsword, has a playful streak, and is very good at not being noticed.
What we know about him
- He spat out his drink when Tamsin joked that the town's bad memories might be "in the water."
- He picks locks, picks pockets, and reads rooms: he lifted a crumpled note from a woman's robe, and in Tamsin's room he was the one who read the dragged chest, the loose board, and the new window hinges.
- He has a rash on his hand that has never quite gone. It began as a scratch from the street fight with the taken, and Tamsin's touch made it worse.
- He has not forgiven Tamsin. She took his cloak, pulled him through the rubble, and left him snoring with no visible wound.
- He was away for three sessions and came back at the underground river, just in time to be struck down by lightning.
In the story so far
He followed the woman with the maul to the church cellar, and chose not to go in alone. He and La Maestra found Tamsin's footprints ending in wet ground. Under Lavius's concealment he crept up on the lightning javelin. He went first into Tamsin's room in Session 9, reluctantly, and came out with most of what the party knows about it. In Session 11 he was the first through the church door, and vanished into the church as it was. Then he found his shortsword, rolled a natural twenty, and landed a sneak attack for forty-six.
