Beneath Mourningfall's Haunted Depths

The party opens a crack in the cellar and descends a mineshaft that was walled up long ago. They find claw marks, an obsidian-black claw, and a chamber of enormous bones with thin golden strands running through the stone. Beyond a hidden crawlspace waits a vast skeletal serpent that drains Aelion's divine power until Torm's light drives it back. La Maestra finds a glowing golden shell fragment beneath a deliberately placed stone.

Deeper still: undead miners, a possessed foreman who mocks them, and a robed figure called the Overseer who claims he was set there to raise a dragon lich. The Overseer falls into a pit. The party frees the surviving miners, about a dozen of them, and leads them out.
