Secrets of the Forgotten Bell

Back at the Last Lantern, the party learns small things that matter. The tavern soup does nothing in a tin bowl and warms and heals in a wooden one. The strange hearth fire burns an ordinary orange when Aelion adds a log. Roger plays chess with La Maestra and tells her how he held on to his dead wife's name through the bell's reset. Mother Vee tells Lavius that the two possessed people killed in the street were Nora's children, and that Nora barely remembers them. Within an hour she has forgotten Tamsin entirely.

The next day the party climbs to the ruined church, the Former Temple of Lathander. Beneath it they fight skeletons, one of which Aelion recognises. When the last one falls, a bell appears, pinning a priest's body beneath it and a ledger recording 214 souls "given to the mountain." Then the door above slams shut and the locks catch.
